Caversham Valley Primary School is committed to identifying students at risk and implementing effective interventions and adjustments.
Our aim is to ensure that all students are able to access curriculum, resources and services that allow them to have equitable outcomes. The term ‘At Educational Risk’ refers to a student who may not achieve his/her potential. Each student has the potential to be at risk at different stages throughout their school life.
Categories of Students at Educational Risk
- Academic: Students who are excelling or not achieving the major learning outcomes described in the Western Australian Curriculum. Whose achievement level and rate of progress and engagement differs noticeably from past performances.
- Social and Emotional: Students who have a high percentage of absenteeism and lateness, who have experienced trauma, who are in the care of Child and Family Protective Services; and/or display disengaged behaviours.
- Behavioural: Students who display aggressive, attention seeking and/or inconsistent behaviours.
- Physical: Students who have a medical impairment that inhibits their ability to demonstrate learning outcomes described in the Western Australian Curriculum. (ie: Vision or hearing impairments).

Our aim is to ensure:
- Early identification of students at educational risk;
