I am proud to be the foundation Principal and have the opportunity to not only lead the talented and dedicated staff who work here, but also the vibrant families of our community.
Our school community is enriched with a blend of over sixty nationalities. As a staff and school, we believe that the diverse background of our students and families is one of the most exciting aspects of our school. Embracing and celebrating the diverse languages, cultures, religions and celebrations of our students brings a richness to learning, and provides a unique and positive experience for the students in our school.
Our dedicated teaching staff have high expectations for all their students. Through high quality teaching and learning practices that are collaborative, evidence based and targeted to each individual child’s needs, we foster student growth and engagement.
The building of a two storey teaching block was completed in 2024 and opened in February 2025.
This teaching block, located behind Djaril, provides the school with 10 additional classrooms, a science lab, several ‘break-out' rooms, and outdoor learning areas.
Included in the design is a large, multi-age playground with shade. Both the teaching block and the playground are a bespoke design, especially created to fit the area. The architects of the building have taken into consideration our existing buildings, landscaping and native flora and fauna. The colours and artwork for the building reflect this.
The name for this teaching block is Pudjak which is the Noongar name for the Parrot bush Banksia.
